Do I have to register?
You are able to browse the site without registering your details but if you wish to buy or sell through the site then you will be asked to register.

What information will be required?
We will ask for a GDC number as Dental Stock X-Change is for dental professionals only. If you do not have a GDC number then you can contact us to discuss options. We will also ask for your contact information including address, telephone number and email address. Your email address will be used to contact you regarding the status of your registration and if you have sold or purchased a product. You will need to log into your account using this email address along with a chosen password. If you forget your password them we use a security question as set by you to confirm your identity.

Can I start using my account straight away?
All registrations are approved individually so please allow 24hrs for your account to be activated. You will be sent an email to inform you that your account is open. You will then be able to Buy, Sell, and contact other users.

Buying

How do I find an item?
Type keywords into the search box or use the advanced search facility to search by Item brand, category, sub category, price range and/or keyword. Alternatively click on the categories listing found on most pages and select products by sub category to view.

How do I buy an item?
Dental Stock X-Change does not own any of the products listed on the website even where we are acting on the seller's behalf. Read all of the item details carefully to be sure you know exactly what you would be purchasing. If you have any questions then contact the seller. Check the seller's returns policy and check postage costs. For equipment it would be advisable to see it working if possible before committing to pay for it.

Once you have found a product on the site and you are happy to proceed with the purchase you can either 'Buy Now-PayPal' where you commit to pay immediately by PayPal, credit or debit card or you "Buy Now" Other Method which is your commitment to pay for the the item but you will contact the seller to organise payment away from the site.

Who pays for the postage and packaging?
Post & packaging costs are shown on the advert and are payable by the buyer.

What should I do if what I've ordered doesn't arrive?
First contact should be to the seller to check on the problem. If the item has been dispatched, ask the seller to call the delivery service to track the package. If your package does not arrive, contact PayPal who can usually help. Otherwise, please contact us.

Selling an item

Why do I need to buy credits?
Rather than paying for an advert every time you want to sell something we use a credit system which offers - TIME SAVING! Buy multiple credits with one payment and COST SAVINGS! The larger the block of credits you buy, the cheaper each credit becomes, the cheaper each ad! There are three different credit packages to choose from.

What are the credit packages?
6 credits for £15
20 credits for £30
50 credits for £45

How do credits work?
Credits are exchangeable for adverts. Text only ads cost just 1 credit, Full ads are 3 credits and Featured ads are 5 credits.

What if I don't use all of my credits immediately?
All credits are held in your account and are valid for one year. Credits will then expire and will be deleted if not redeemed within those 12 months. Each time you place a new ad the relevant number of credits is deducted from your account. Additional credits can be purchased at any time.

How do I place an advert?
Log in and go to 'Your Account' and click on 'Create New advert'
Use the Advert Tips located on the right hand side of the page to guide you easily through the process. Fill in all of the fields as requested. If you are placing a full ad or featured ad then you will be able to upload images.

What can I sell?
This site is for the selling of new and previously owned dental sundries and equipment and we have included a situations vacant section as well. You must not sell drugs including Anaesthetics or products that have passed their expiry date on this site. All products should be fit for purpose unless otherwise clearly stated.

Will my advert appear on line immediately?
All adverts are checked before they are posted onto the site so there may be a slight delay before they appear. We will check these as soon as possible.

How long will my ad appear on the site?
Adverts will stay live for 6months unless sold or you choose to remove the ad from the site.

How do people buy my items?
The buyer will be asked if they would like to set up a PayPal account or they can use a credit/debit card without having a PayPal account.

How do I know where to post the products too?
If payment was through PayPal then you will receive an email containing the buyer's details
